Waiting + Seeking

Waiting + Seeking

“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭AMP‬‬⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

+ Are we truly seeking Him, looking for + hoping for him. Are we expecting Him in the waiting? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ Waiting doesn’t mean to be idle, distracted, focused on other things while the time passes by. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ All the kids the night before Christmas + probably when December starts are waiting for Christmas Day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They start preparing for what they are going to do with what they got, what they are going to eat that morning, they’ve already been working on their grades, attitudes, their surprise faces all for the moment they gets to see their presents + if they’ve got what they asked for. They can’t sleep, they are asking questions to try to guess what they got, they are simply not just waiting for Christmas Day. They are expecting their presents, they are hoping for the things on their list, they are looking for reason to be good to make sure they don’t get coal as some tell them might happen. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ This is how we should wait for the Lord. He is our present.
